Five people died and 87 remain missing after a passenger ferry caught fire off Coron, in the western Philippines.
The June Aster was carrying 134 people in total — 117 passengers and 17 crew members — when the fire broke out.
The ferry departed from Manila and was en route to Coron, Palawan, when flames engulfed the vessel at around 6:45pm local time.
Forty-two people, including 38 passengers and four crew members, were rescued as search and rescue teams continued operations.
