Health New Zealand has briefed Simeon Brown on a cyber incident involving Zenith Technology, the minister's office has confirmed.Police are investigating the incident in which a large number of files relating to clinical trials run by Zenith - a privately-owned company - may have been stolen, Stuff reported.The files reportedly included sensitive health information.Do you know more? It has an analytical laboratory service and dedicated clinical site that can house up to 60 trial participants.Its services include the "development, assessment and approval of protocols with the assistance of the New Zealand Health and Disability Ethics Committees" and "first-in-person" and "first-in-patient" studies.It states becoming a participant in a clinical trial is a "benevolent act" that helps "advance science and medicine" and that volunteers are compensated for their time and inconvenience.ZenTech's social media page shows a series of posts recruiting participants for clinical trials.
