Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has deleted all his Fulham-related posts from Instagram, days after being jeered by a section of supporters during his substitution in the club’s 3-2 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Iwobi was taken off in the 82nd minute of that match, with ironic cheers and jeers greeting his withdrawal despite the midfielder reportedly having covered the second-highest distance of any Fulham player on the pitch that day.

Former Arsenal teammate Emile Smith Rowe has also wiped his Instagram profile clean of football-related content, with both players’ accounts going dark amid Fulham’s difficult start to the season.

The Cottagers have lost all three of their opening Premier League fixtures to sit 19th in the table, with only promoted Coventry City suffering a worse start on goal difference.
