Live Nation announced Wednesday that the Sept. 16 AC/DC concert in Toronto has been cancelled due to the damage caused to Rogers Stadium by last week’s extreme rainstorm.
Portions of the stadium sustained major structural damage in powerful winds during the “red alert” thunderstorm on Sept. 2. Trees were toppled onto houses and power lines, leaving 65,000 people throughout the city without electricity in the immediate aftermath. Flooding stranded drivers in some areas, and closed the Don Valley Parkway.
