Solar power plays a much larger role in Thailand's new power development plan as the country transitions towards its net-zero emissions target.
Thailand is preparing to rework its electricity sector under a new power development plan (PDP) that will open the market to greater private sector participation, accelerate renewable energy adoption and modernise the role of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat), according to Energy Minister Akanat Promphan.
