The Lagos State Government has commenced a five-day digital skills training programme for youths in the Badagry and Ikorodu divisions.
The participants, according to a statement obtained by The PUNCH on Wednesday, will receive training in artificial intelligence, information technology and entrepreneurship.
The programme, being implemented by the Ministry of Tertiary Education, began on Monday and will run until September 11 at the Badagry Division Iba ICT Centre, Iba Town, Iba LCDA, and the Homat School of Basic Studies CBT Centre, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.
The statement said the training was designed to combine digital literacy with business and professional skills, including introductory artificial intelligence, information technology, entrepreneurship and emotional intelligence.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule, said the programme was aimed at equipping participants with practical skills that would improve their competitiveness in the changing world of work.
