Enterprise security startup Cymphony Inc. formally launched today with $30 million in funding and software that tracks what artificial intelligence agents and employees can reach inside company systems.
The two-year-old company is now worth more than $100 million, TechCrunch reported.
Cymphony’s platform is built on what the company calls a workforce security graph, a single map of identities, permissions, sensitive data and activity that security teams can query to see which employees, AI agents and machine accounts touched which system. Nothing installs on endpoints. Cymphony said a deployment goes live in a day.
Chief Executive Shy Dekel described an early customer who connected ChatGPT to SharePoint. The company already had security infrastructure in place. Every intern there could then query documents from “an incredibly sensitive litigation process,” Dekel said in Cymphony’s launch announcement. He put it down to an honest mistake by someone in the legal department.
