Last year was a very successful one for Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s peace envoy. Not because he managed to broker a lasting truce between Russia and Ukraine, but successful in the way it was also a banner year for Donald Trump: He made a shitload of money. And a lot more than he did the year before Trump returned to Washington, which surely does not point to any sort of brazen conflicts of interest.

After learning in April that Witkoff’s net worth increased by some $300 million — to $2.3 billion — from when he started working for the Trump administration, we now have further details on the large sum of money Witkoff, a longtime friend of Trump, made last year. On Wednesday, Bloomberg reported that the businessman turned envoy raked in $107 million in 2025 “from the holding company that owned his share of a crypto venture he and his boss helped co-found, according to a recent financial disclosure report.”

To be clear, that crypto venture is World Liberty Financial, and that boss is Donald Trump; in addition to the two men, the company was co-founded by Witkoff’s sons, along with Barron, Eric, Don Jr., and others. While Witkoff did not specify how much WLF earned him last year — there are other assets in the holding company, like real estate — we do know that the president made more than half a billion dollars from tokens sold by the venture in 2025. In 2024, before Trump returned to office and Witkoff joined the administration, Witkoff’s holding company made $34 million.
