A senior employee at the company Anthropic has said that there’s a greater than 10% chance the technology could kill humanity within the next decade.
It was a response to an AI researcher who just left his job at Anthropic and previously worked at rival company OpenAI, and claims neither is acting responsibly.
Channel 4 News reached out to Anthropic for comment and is waiting for a response but in the past, it said the dangers of AI are real and that’s why they want governments to work together to regulate the industry.
