The Bay Shore, New York company has ceased production and distribution while the FDA investigates the source of contamination

Made Fresh Salads Inc. of Bay Shore, New York, is recalling 68 ready-to-eat deli salads and cream cheese products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the FDA said.

The recall covers products sold under the Made Fresh Salads and Northside brands, reaching retailers and distributors in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and New York City through direct-delivery routes. Affected products were packaged in 30-pound and 5-pound white plastic tubs or half-size aluminum pans, with expiration dates ranging from September 3 through September 18, 2026, printed on the bottom left of the label.

The 68 recalled items span a wide range of deli salads — including potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, various seafood and pasta salads, and grain-based varieties — as well as 25 flavors of cream cheese and tofu spreads. Retailers may have repackaged the products, so labeling and codes on store-level packaging can differ depending on where they were sold, the company said.
