MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Erwin Tulfo has criticized the Chinese delegate who passed a note to Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. while he was speaking at the Seoul Defense Dialogue, saying that it was improper.
Tulfo on Wednesday was referring to the incident in which Teodoro was handed a note supposedly from a Chinese military attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Seoul while discussing the importance of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (Unclos) at the forum on Tuesday.
The note dismissed the South China Sea arbitration, calling the 2016 award “illegal, null, and void.”
