ABUJA — First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with the traditional title of Oso Di Eme I of Imo State.
The honour was announced on Wednesday by the First Lady’s Senior Special Adviser on Media, Busola Kukoyi, in a statement accompanied by photographs of the ceremony posted on her X handle.
Kukoyi said the title, which she translated as “she who supports her husband,” was in recognition of the First Lady’s role as a partner to President Bola Tinubu in the administration of the country.
She wrote: “Oso Di Eme I of Imo State, meaning ‘She who supports her husband.’ A worthy partner of her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. As he’s working, she is working.”
Photographs released by the aide showed the First Lady dressed in colourful traditional attire featuring APC symbols and Nigerian flag motifs.
