Moscow, Sep 9 (EFE).- At least four people died on Wednesday, including a minor, and 29 were injured in a massive attack by Ukrainian drones against the Russian port of Novorossiysk, one of the largest in the country, where fires broke out in the port’s infrastructure, according to authorities and independent Russian media.
«Last night, our military repelled a massive enemy drone attack on the region. Novorossiysk was the main target. Sadly, four people were killed, including one child,» the local governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, wrote on Telegram.
«Another 29 people were injured in the city last night, three of whom are in serious condition. All are currently receiving medical care. We are ready to transport them to our regional medical centers if necessary,» he added.
Kondratiev denounced that «the enemy is exclusively targeting civilian targets.»
«Damage was reported to three private homes and five apartment buildings, as well as an Orthodox church and a kindergarten,» the official said.
