Theatre artist and Kannada film actress Akshatha Pandavapura, an alumna of the National School of Drama (NSD), will stage the 125th show of her 90-minute solo play Leak Out at the Indian Institute of Educational Theatre, Mysuru, on Friday.The performance, part of the Navyasi Ranga initiative, marks a milestone in the play’s journey across the State and its presence in experimental theatre.“Leak Out explores societal dynamics, suppressed voices and human experiences through the stories of diverse women. Blending storytelling, humour and audience interaction, the play encourages spectators to become active participants in the narrative,” a press release said.The performance evolves with each show, with Ms. Akshata engaging directly with the audience while examining social norms, silence and systemic issues. “My objective has always been to bring theatre closer to the people and locate my characters right within the audience,” said Ms. Akshatha.The 125th show will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday.
