Intocable will be in charge of entertaining the patriotic celebrations in Mexico. The legendary Mexican-American band will take the stage at the Zócalo, the country’s most important public square, on the night of Sept. 15 for the Grito de Independencia (Cry of Independence). President Claudia Sheinbaum made the announcement on Tuesday (Sept. 8) in a video shared on social media.
“Sept. 15 is almost here,” Sheinbaum says in the clip, in which she walks into one of the halls of the National Palace wearing headphones, with Intocable’s song “¿Y Todo Para Qué?” playing in the background.
