The 43-year-old businessman, popularly known as Denisi, died on 6 March after receiving 40ml of hyaluronic acid filler during his fifth enlargement procedure at the Pathumwan district clinic. A UK coroner's inquest found that Ubiribo collapsed after experiencing chest pain hours after the procedure, with a post-mortem concluding he died from a pulmonary embolism and complications from the injection. Thai health minister Pattana Phromphat stated that officials are examining the clinic's licensing and compliance with safety standards to ensure fairness and maintain confidence in Thailand's medical care. The case is being submitted to the Medical Council of Thailand to assess whether professional standards were met, drawing significant attention to the country's large medical tourism sector.
