ABUJA — Four court cases challenging the candidacy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, have been discontinued by the respective litigants.
Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, is seeking the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.
His Media Adviser, Kayode Odunaro, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, describing the development as coming at the commencement of the governorship campaign.
According to Odunaro, the four suits were discontinued voluntarily by the litigants, with the first case withdrawn on August 24, 2026, and the remaining three discontinued on September 7, 2026.
