The National Emergency Management Agency has announced the winners of its 2026 National Essay Competition across three categories.
The winners were announced on Saturday after the completion of what NEMA described as a “comprehensive assessment, validation and independent corroboration process.”
In the Senior Secondary School category, Orire Fareedah Omolola of Murphy Tonia Schools, Lagos, emerged first, followed by Onminye Olive of Faith Academy, Goshen, Abuja, and Isah Zainab Ise of Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Adelanwa Emmanuel Oluwatosin of the University of Ibadan won the tertiary institution category, while Memunat Olawore Omobolanle of the Nigeria Law School, Lagos Campus, and Aminu Ibrahim Bello of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, emerged second and third respectively.
