Abba Aliyu Tilde, the Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has resigned from his position, citing alleged disrespect, lack of communication and a breakdown in his working relationship with the senator.
Tilde announced his resignation in a letter dated September 6, addressed to Senator Buba, saying his resignation was effective immediately.
The resignation comes amid renewed controversy surrounding the senator following fresh allegations linking him to individuals allegedly associated with banditry and a reported death threat issued to social media influencer, D English Alhaji, after he published an interview containing the allegations.
However, Tilde did not state in his resignation letter that his decision was connected to the allegations against the senator or the controversy involving D English Alhaji.
