The association said its members had not received their August 2026 pension, while only 50 per cent of their July pension had been paid.
Pensioners of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), have asked Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, to intervene in the payment of their outstanding pensions and other entitlements.
The pensioners made the demand in a letter dated September 7, 2026, addressed to the governor and signed by the Chairman of the BOUESTI Pensioners Association, Dr Kola Ajaja, and its Public Relations Officer, Alao Odeyemi.
The association said its members had not received their August 2026 pension, while only 50 per cent of their July pension had been paid.
It said the situation had left many retired workers struggling to meet basic needs, including healthcare and medication.
