THERE is something about spring that feels like an invitation to better our lives.
After months of bare branches, cold mornings and fields that seem to have withdrawn into themselves, colour begins to return. Flowers appear. Trees begin to bud. The days become brighter, and almost without announcement, life begins again in full colour.
Perhaps that is why spring has always been such a powerful symbol of renewal.
I personally think there is something profound in the message carried by spring. It does not arrive and pretend that winter never happened. It arrives to remind us that winter is not forever. It is not permanent.
Don't we all similarly experience a winter in our lives?
