Wizz Air is returning to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, more than a year after closing its UAE-based operations in September 2025.
The low-cost carrier will operate 12 routes and 49 weekly flights across four Middle East destinations, including Jeddah and Amman.
The airline shut its Abu Dhabi operation citing operational challenges, geopolitical instability and engine reliability issues in the region's hot climate.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, launched in 2020 as a joint venture with ADQ, had connected the UAE capital to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
