alliance between Puma Energy and Black Heritage Investments is set to revolutionise South Africa's fuel landscape, addressing industry challenges and enhancing local empowerment.

The strategic partnership between Puma Energy South Africa and Black Heritage Investments (BHI) marks a significant moment in the evolution of South Africa's fuel industry. Through BHI's acquisition of a 30% stake in Puma Energy South Africa, the transaction becomes more than a commercial arrangement: it is an industrial compact whose combined capabilities respond to the structural pressures shaping the downstream sector, including supply insecurity, infrastructure constraints, shifting customer expectations, transformation imperatives and the emergence of low-carbon energy solutions.

Together, the organisations have created a commercially disciplined, locally anchored and strategically expandable platform with the potential to reshape the national energy landscape.

Puma Energy contributes the operating architecture of a global downstream business. In South Africa, its activities span retail, commercial fuels, aviation, lubricants and low-carbon energy solutions. Its footprint includes 95 retail sites, 99 convenience stores, operations at about 50 airports, three terminals and roughly 5,000 cubic metres of storage capacity. This is not a narrow forecourt business, but an integrated participant exposed to the multiple demand centres that drive the modern fuel economy. Its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Level 1 status shows that transformation is embedded in ownership, management, skills development, supplier development and socio economic contribution.
