TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Mansyah, Head of Indonesia's Thousand Islands Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Task Force, stated that the situation in the area remains stable, despite a light spread of volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

"We urge residents to remain vigilant, wear masks when outdoors, and follow official information regarding the spread of the volcanic ash," Mansyah said.
