Anthony Joshua has returned to training at Ben Davison’s Essex gym as he awaits the outcome of the contract dispute holding up his proposed showdown with Tyson Fury, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 36-year-old officially parted ways with Davison following his heavy defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in September 2024, after which he linked up with Oleksandr Usyk’s training team in Spain, guiding him to victories over Jake Paul and Kristian Prenga over the past nine months.
Joshua had hoped to finally secure a fight against Fury, with November earmarked for the pair to clash, but the bout has been held up by a discrepancy in their contracts.
Joshua’s deal stipulates that the fight must take place in the UK, while Fury’s contract carries no such clause, complicating plans for a proposed showdown at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 20.
