SENATORS from the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), under the aegis of the Northern Senators Forum (NSF), have mourned the death of Senator Bello Mandiya, who represented Katsina South in the Ninth Senate.

In a condolence statement signed yesterday by the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, APC, Katsina Central, the Senators described Senator Mandiya, who died at the age of 62 as a lawmaker who lived a life devoted to public service, and said his passing has deprived Nigeria of a committed administrator and legislator whose contributions will remain part of the political history of Katsina State and the Ninth Senate.
