Gombe Head of Civil Service alongside investigative panel on suspended Director of Public Prosecution on Tuesday.
The Gombe State Head of Civil Service, Prof. Muazu Shehu, has received the final report of the High-Powered Investigative Panel constituted to probe complaints against the state’s Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Abubakar Jungudo.
Shehu, who received the report on behalf of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, described the panel’s assignment as a “noble and sacred duty” undertaken with diligence and commitment.
The panel was inaugurated on July 31, 2026, following the suspension of the Acting DPP, with a mandate to thoroughly, transparently and impartially investigate the complaints against him in line with due process.
