Law Mefor, Anambra commissioner for information and value reorientation, says the state is ready to receive the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, on her working visit.

Mr Mefor said on Tuesday that the visit would strengthen collaboration between the state and the federal government in tackling poverty, food insecurity and youth unemployment.

He said this in a statement ahead of Mrs Tinubu’s visit to Anambra on Thursday.

According to him, the visit will feature the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-east and the commissioning of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

Mr Mefor said the food bank, under the Renewed Hope Initiative, would support vulnerable groups, including children, nursing mothers, widows, elderly persons and persons living with disabilities.
