Global financial technology company and USDC issuer Circle Internet Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments infrastructure provider Tazapay, in a move to expand its payments network across APAC and emerging markets.

The transaction is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Tazapay provides payment infrastructure to payment service providers and financial institutions, and processes more than $25 billion in annualised payment volume.

It has partnerships with over 60 banks and fintech companies, with local payout rails spanning more than 100 markets.

Stablecoins already account for around 60% of its transaction volume.
