Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, the traditional cleansing ritual, was performed at the temple of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams scheduled from September 15 to 23.TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, priests, officials and staff participated in the four-hour purification ritual, conducted in accordance with Agama traditions.The ritual is performed four times a year, particularly on the Tuesday preceding the Brahmotsavams, Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam and Vaikunta Ekadasi.As part of the ritual, the temple complex, including the Ananda Nilayam, Bangaru Vakili, sub-shrines, kitchen, walls, ceilings and puja articles, was thoroughly cleansed.
