Qualcomm $QCOM announced a partnership with Amazon $AMZN Web Services on Tuesday to develop custom chips for AI data center infrastructure, sending Qualcomm stock up 10%.
The two companies will work together across multiple generations of customized silicon, with a focus on inference workloads, the company said. The collaboration is aimed at combining Amazon's AI infrastructure with Qualcomm's power-efficient processing and silicon design capabilities, according to the press release.
