Stoke Space Technologies raised $1 billion in a Series E financing round on Tuesday, bringing its total capital raised to $2.3 billion, and unveiled plans for a larger rocket capable of carrying 15 metric tons to low Earth orbit.
Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital co-led the round, with General Innovation, Glade Brook Capital, U.S. Innovation Technology, Washington Harbour Partners, Woven Capital, and Y Combinator among the participating investors, the company said. Stoke said the funding will support its first orbital launch, expand production and launch capacity, and accelerate development of the Nova Block $SQ 2 launch vehicle.
