Isar Aerospace reached orbit and deployed payloads on Saturday, becoming the first commercial space company from Europe to deliver satellites into orbit, on only its second flight.
Isar Aerospace's Spectrum rocket launched at 10:12 pm local time from Norway's Andøya spaceport, deploying five satellites into low Earth orbit, the company said. The vehicle crossed the Kármán line at 100 kilometers altitude in under four minutes, completed stage separation, and jettisoned its payload fairing before reaching orbital velocity.
