Two men arrested for allegedly entering Jio World Plaza in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) with a firearm and a fake PMO identity card have been sent to police custody till September 11, according to the latest update.Three men allegedly used a suspicious government identity card and forced their way past mall security while carrying a firearm to enter the shopping mall, police said.Also read: PM Modi hails India's fintech rise and UPI at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in MumbaiA First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the BKC police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including provisions relating to impersonation of a public servant and unlawful entry while armed with a weapon.The police said the incident took place on Monday and has no connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mumbai on Tuesday.The weapon recovered during the incident has been found to be licensed, police said. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the case.The incident had initially raised security concerns as Jio World Plaza is located in BKC, where Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to attend an event.
