Indonesia reopened eight airports on Tuesday as Mount Anak Krakatau’s volcanic activity eased, offering relief to air travelers after thousands of flights were disrupted, while schools in Jakarta extended online learning amid lingering concerns over volcanic ash.Two airports in Lampung, four in Banten and one each in Jakarta and West Java had been closed over the weekend after volcanic ash was detected in their airspace following the eruption of Anak Krakatau, which sits in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra.
