Depending on the team, maybe it’s a true prospect, or perhaps just a really fast guy in case you need a pinch-runner. This week, we tried to include the Bad News Bears in our rankings to see if they would finish in not-last among AL teams, but no dice. So instead, we’re taking a look at one player — perhaps a true September call-up, perhaps just “spiritually the same thing, even if he was technically called up in some other month” — who could play a bigger role in 2027.
