The shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d’Or nominees has been announced, marking the 70th year of the Ballon d’Or to recognise and celebrate great achievements in the world of football across the 2025/26 season.
The nominees were announced via the award body’s X handle on Tuesday.
Nominees for the Men’s and Women’s Best Players of the Year, exceptional young talent, goalkeepers, clubs and coaches who excelled across last season were also announced, among other categories.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 26, 2026.
