Ukrainian company In**-AI (the company’s name and the name of its head are not being disclosed for security reasons – Ed.), which specializes in artificial intelligence technologies for defense, was one of the three winners of NATO’s 19th Innovation Competition, “Persistent Airfield Denial,” taking third place among ten finalists.
In a comment to Ukrinform, the company’s head, who uses the call sign Wild Cat, said the solution presented at the NATO competition would make strikes on enemy airfields many times more effective, as it represents an entirely new technological level.
“In short, our development is artificial intelligence for making the destruction of enemy airfields ten times more effective. It involves precision targeting of airfields, and the solution can be used both on UAVs and missiles,” the company head said.
He explained that Russia should not be underestimated, as it has one of the world’s best air defense systems, combined with one of the world’s best electronic warfare systems, which makes it considerably more difficult for Ukrainian forces to strike its airfields.
“Essentially, we are dealing with the protection of military airfields at a level that may not exist anywhere else in the world. Despite this, Ukraine is managing to effectively ‘reach’ Russian aircraft and helicopters at their airfields, both in Crimea and deep inside their territory,” Wild Cat said. At the same time, he believes that introducing the new development “will fundamentally change this situation.”
