The actress, 39, uploaded an adorable snap of baby Palma, who she shares with former reality TV star Mark Wright, 39.‌The duo's daughter was celebrating becoming 18 months old with Michelle asking: "How did that happen?" Palma was seen holding a wooden plaque with her age on and another with her name as she starred down with her cute blonde curls on show and donning a stylish denim dress.‌The Instagram update comes just days after Michele reportedly quit her role in an ITV drama just months before filming was due to begin. She opted against taking on the lead role on a series that focuses on a working-class barrister.‌Filming for the show was set to get underway in November. Michelle instead is said to have decided she wanted to focus on family life rather than take on the part in the production by Sherlock writer Steve Thompson. A source told The Sun: "Michelle was really keen to take on the meaty role, but the heavy filming schedule would take her away from daughter Palma for too long.“The hours were quite intense and the project was starting straight after her Netflix drama The Woods and she just couldn’t commit. She is dedicated to her acting career, but like all working mums has to prioritise being there for her family, juggling work, parenting and being present for Palma.”‌An ITV spokesperson said: “Early conversations occurred, but Michelle was never contracted so it’s incorrect to say she pulled out.”While she opted against this role, she still has a number of projects set to air. The actress is playing DI Emma Crane in the thrilling series, which is set to air on September 20. She stars alongside Douglas Booth as DI Tom Radley, with The Blame uncovering corruption and systemic misogyny in the police force.In a Q&A ahead of the series airing, Michelle revealed she was “hooked” on the series as soon as she had read the script. She described her character as being “a strong female in a male-dominated environment”.‌She added: “She’s one of those girls that will take no nonsense, and it just felt exciting. We love to see it on screen and there’s not enough of it on screen."And explaining how she struggled learning all the police terminology she sometimes had issues remembering her lines. She said: "It’s police terminology and you have to get it spot on every single time, and Douglas would always have my back, always."I felt really comfortable being with Douglas on set and even if I fluffed a few lines, he would make me feel very, very calm about it.
