Hood FC of Abuja have emerged as national champions of the 2026 5Stars Premier League after a commanding 4-1 victory over Lagos-based Sir J FC in the grand finale.
The triumph, achieved at the Showtime Arena in Lekki, Lagos, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, saw Hood FC retain Abuja’s dominance in the competition, with no team from another region winning the title since the league’s inception in 2019.
The Abuja champions, who were held to a 1-1 draw in a fiercely contested first half, turned on the style after the break, scoring three unanswered goals to seal the title, trophy and N4 million grand prize.
