New Delhi: ED's Kolkata unit on Monday conducted searches at seven premises in Kolkata, Delhi and Ranchi in connection with a money laundering probe involving Akhbar-E-Mashriq Pvt Ltd, publisher of an Urdu daily, and its director, Trinamool Congress' Rajya Sabha MP Mohd Nadimul Haque, people in the know said.The agency launched a PMLA probe on the basis of an FIR filed by the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate. As per ED, the case involves allegations relating to the publication and dissemination of material allegedly promoting communal disharmony, besides alleged illegal transactions, unaccounted cash dealings and funding from suspicious sources.
