The Federal Government has announced plans to provide qualified Nigerian shipowners with up to $25m each under the Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund, a move expected to strengthen indigenous shipping and create more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Meanwhile, Dangote Industries Limited has commenced the registration process for the proposed initial public offering of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE, with Aliko Dangote saying drivers, cooks, traders, servants and managers will have an opportunity to own shares.
Elsewhere, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has lost her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan, while Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Jimoh Ibrahim, said President Bola Tinubu and his family face no US movement restrictions during the United Nations General Assembly.
