Leyte 1st District Representative Martin Romualdez was arrested on September 7 over a P7.44-billion plunder case but remains hospitalized due to health issues.

The Sandiganbayan issued a warrant for Romualdez and his co-accused, who allegedly received kickbacks related to a flood control anomaly, with evidence from multiple witnesses supporting the case.
