Former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni.
All Progressives Congress chieftain, Senator Ayo Arise, has congratulated a former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.
The former federal lawmaker, in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Sunday evening, said, “Beyond politics, Engr. Oni has demonstrated that leadership is about service.”
Arise, a former National Assembly member, said, “Chief Oni is an icon of good governance. His tenure as governor of Ekiti State remains exceptional, unparalleled and clinical. It stands as a reference point for purposeful leadership, infrastructural development and people-centred governance in the history of our dear state.”
“His selfless service and impeccable character deserve to be emulated by Nigerian politicians. He has shown, by example, that politics is a call to service and not an avenue for self-enrichment.
