The call follows Macklemore chanting "Free Palestine" and performing his Gaza protest song "Hind's Hall" at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. The advocacy group accused the musician of using a global concert platform to promote a "one-sided political agenda". Macklemore told the audience that sharing his message of peace and solidarity with Palestine was a primary motivation for joining the tour. The rapper is currently scheduled to appear as the opening act for eight further dates on Sheeran's tour through to November.
