A pure ultra-white gyrfalcon sold for a record-breaking Dh2.1 million at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.
It was the third falcon to exceed Dh1 million at the auction, with two others selling for Dh1.5 million and Dh1.1 million respectively.
All three record-breaking falcons were bred in the US by the Mark Moglich farm, which specialises in high-end raptors.
The 23rd edition of the exhibition was its largest ever, attracting 2,400 companies from 71 countries over 10 days.
