An Amazon Prime Air cargo Boeing 767-300 overran a runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday, killing at least five people and injuring five others.
The aircraft, operated by cargo carrier 21 Air, departed San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was travelling at 207km/h when it left the usable runway.
The 32-year-old freighter struck several vehicles upon leaving the runway, trapping at least two people inside their vehicles and leaving the pilot and co-pilot trapped in the wreckage.
The National Transportation Safety Board dispatched a team led by chairwoman Jennifer Homendy to investigate, with Boeing and 21 Air pledging their support.
