The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has expressed confidence in the Super Falcons’ ability to secure back-to-back qualification for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Following their return to the Olympic stage at the Paris 2024 Games, the 10-time African champions are now focused on their second-round qualifying fixture against Comoros. Both legs of the tie will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo on October 9 and 13, 2026.
Nigeria must negotiate four rounds of two-legged knockout ties to claim one of Africa’s two available places at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
As one of the three highest-ranked teams in the qualifying series, the Super Falcons received a bye into the second round, while Comoros advanced after defeating Sudan 30-0 on aggregate.
