A high-level delegation led by Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil will visit France and the Netherlands from Monday (September 7) to Friday (September 11) to hold roadshows and discussions with companies as part of efforts to attract investments to Karnataka.The Minister-led delegation left for France in the early hours of Sunday. Industries Department Principal Secretary S. Selvakumar, Commissioner Khushboo Goel, KIADB CEO Govind Reddy, Chief Minister’s Deputy Secretary R. Yathish and other officials are part of the delegation.In France, the delegation would be there from Monday to Wednesday. During the visit, it would hold discussions on investment opportunities in Karnataka with companies such as Roquette and LFB Group in the pharmaceuticals sector; bioMerieux, known for its expertise in in-vitro diagnostics; leading aerospace and defence companies Hutchinson, Safran, Thales, LISI Aerospace and GICAT; automotive company Somfy; precision engineering company Mecachrome; dairy company Savencia; and materials company Arkema, among others, Minister Patil said in a media statement.On September 10 and 11, the delegation would be in the Netherlands, where it would hold discussions on investment opportunities in Karnataka with Nexperia in the semiconductor sector, Royal De Hues in animal nutrition, Royal Boskalis, Royal Swinkels in the breweries sector, and Perfetti Van Melle in the chocolate sector, Minister Patil said.“If we want to attract more investment to the State and create jobs, we have to go to the place of investors. Otherwise, companies may choose to invest in other States. Given the intense competition from neighbouring States, we have been conducting roadshows and holding discussions in different countries and States over the past three years. The visit to France and the Netherlands is a continuation of this effort. It is an ongoing initiative,” he said.The delegation would brief investors on the State’s new industrial policy, with its focus on manufacturing and exports; speedy services available under the single-window system; incentives and concessions being offered; and facilities such as land, water, power and airports. It would also highlight the Industrial Facilitation Act, along with the State’s energy and EV policies, among other initiatives, Mr. Patil said. Published - September 06, 2026 08:09 pm IST
