Indonesia’s Anak Krakatau volcano erupted on September 6, sending ash clouds up to 50,000 feet and disrupting flights across the region. The eruption affected 209 flights, including several international services, and left hundreds of passengers stranded. No casualties were reported, while authorities advised people to stay 3 kilometres from the crater.
